Alison Krauss
Alison Krauss' first taste of notoriety as a fiddler occurred in 1990, the year she was just 19 and received the Grammy Award for Best Bluegrass Album. The third album of Krauss, I've Got That Old Feeling won her the honor even though she was 19 years older. Too Late to Cry was her first release, and was made available around her Champaign Illinois native's age of 16. Her contract was already in place with Rounder Records, one of the top folk labels, when she was just 14. Krauss is widely known for her amazing virtuosity as well as her achievements at such a young age. Her love for bluegrass, one of the oldest and least appreciated forms in American culture, is an unavoidable fact. Krauss at one time a teenager phenom, had developed into an accomplished musician as well as a producer.
